About Me
I was born in Formia,
a small town by the Tyrrhenian Sea, on the 5.12.1992 and I spent my childhood constantly
repeating to my father <<Dad when I grow up I want a Testarossa>>.
I think that the passion
for cars began to grow when, still a little boy, I started to collect die-cast
cars which always ended to be involved in disastrous crashes in every corner of
my house.
I still keep my overnight
bag, since ages the location of my private collection that also boasts a car
transporter and the typical automotives you can find in an airport.
At a certain
point, though, you start to grow up and from the die-cast cars you start to dream
to have real cars. At 12 years old I consumed the pages of the car magazines
desiring every single super car I found there and studying all their prices with
the purpose of realizing which one I could buy as soon as possible.
Without
considering I still didn’t have a driving licence, I had to face with the fact
that my bike would have been my cabrio sport car still for more.
My second passion
car (I remind to the reader that my first was the Testarossa) was the Porsche
Boxter. Beyong the mechanincs and the beuty of that car, my admiration for it derived
from a girl. When on an ordinary day of the middle school I took with me in
class the usual car magazine, I confessed to my dream girl that one day I would
have bought the Porsche Boxter.
She seemed very
interested and replied that in that case <<then you’ll pick me up at my home>>.
Sadly, I didn’t
manage to get one before the school ended.
The high school starts.
The adolescence
confusion starts as well and I can’t make up my mind about the car I really
want for me. I liked Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, but also Hummer H2,
Range Rover, Porsche Cayenne.
I had abandoned
the car magazines and evidently I was preferring the fashion cars to the great
ones.
By chance, though,
a winter night I discovered some car videos on Youtube.
They were not the
classic car reviews, but variety shows with the cars as the main characters. A
tv programme which offered you what exactly you wanted to watch about cars.
Since that moment,
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May awaked my sleeping passion
for cars. I began to watch their programme every day, to buy the Top Gear magazine
and to keep dreming.
My current
preference is for the Maserati Granturismo. Most of you could say that there
are better, faster and, why not, cheaper, sport cars, but I fell in love
especially for its design, even though I can’t hide weaknesses for other great
engines.
What I do
now has nothing to do with cars.
I am a graduate
in law and in my free time I love to write about cars, those which I find
during my walks around the world.
I like
adventure and I try to live them holding a steering wheel in my hands.
This is
briefly me and why I founded the Cars and Wrecks blog.
I hope you
liked the writing about me as I hope you’ll like the posts I’ll write.
